Yes, Indigo operates 1500 flights daily.
There are many operational changes that have been made by Indigo in its initial days which resulted in its successful run in India, some of them are as follows -
Low fleet size - In the initial days Indigo kept their fleet size (number of flights running) very low and try to cover maximum route with it.
Low frill - Indigo eliminate the food service from its flights with the aim to reduce the weight of flight, so that they can increase the passenger capacity.
Load factor rather than yield factor - Indigo used the load factor rather than yield factor which means prices of ticket is decided on the number of seat occupied and distance to be covered.
Hubs and spoke model - Under this model there are spokes between hubs. For example, If there is flight from Mumbai to New Delhi via Indore, here Mumbai and New Delhi are hubs and Indore is Spoke.
Integration with Airbus - Indigo used Airbus only which help them to cut maintenance cost though price of Airbus is higher than others.
Hiring employees of other airlines - this helps Indigo saving training cost.
All these techniques help Indigo to cut cost and have an effective run. For any other help in this regard reply below, we will be happy to help you.
